Letter X

Another fun week. X-specially when we learn the letter X, the number 7, and the sight word little.

Our calendar board this week.
If you look closely, you will see that (is) is still on our board. She is having trouble with that sight word :-)

Working on letter X. First diagonal lines.

Playing with her felt dolls we got from the state fair.

This is a book I bought from Target for around 6 dollars that we use for extra letter practice. Sis likes to work in her "school book" and she gets to put stickers on each page she completes.

This is working inside the Kumon book.

Cutting practice. She has gotten better, since 7 weeks ago when she first used a pair of scissors.

More number 2 practice. She did the last 3 by herself. :-)

Sissy's Photography. She wanted to be behind the camera instead always in front of it.

Finishing X. She did a great job all week. After I took away the tracing and asked her to write it by herself, that showed to be too hard for her right now. I was thinking of re-doing letter X for more diagonal practice, but after some great advise, we will continue on and she will figure it out someday.

  1. You could check out Carisa's You Can Read curriculum for more activities to practice the sight words. I use it with Gavin.
